The Oberoi Cecil Hotel Shimla, Shimla

The hotel had a few highlights like a fantastic location within a brisk walk to Shimla's heart and being close to town with scenic views, but it was a bit far from the mall road. The rooms were well laid out with appreciated balcony views; however, they weren't ready upon our arrival despite requesting an early check-in. The service was top-notch, particularly in the bar and restaurant, with staff going that extra mile to make our stay memorable, yet a tad overshadowed by larger tour groups at times. The dining experience was elevated by the fantastic team, though the spread was not extensive. Overall, a lovely spot with a few minor quirks to consider.

The hotel is a perfect place for families with a wide variety of Indian and Continental dishes. The spacious atrium, seating areas, and bar offer a great socializing environment. However, the high price may not suit all budgets.
